Can I break FREE?

Sin has a strong hold on people, it WILL NOT let go without a fight.

Addiction has iron clasps.

Fear has dark chains attached to our wrists.

Lust of the Flesh is without an expiration date.

Lust of the Eyes will attack even the most innocent.

The Pride of of Live will bring down even the most Righteous of people.

Then what’s the solution?

It seems hopeless.

It seems disastrous.

What can we as mere men do to prevent our own destruction?

We can do nothing.

Good News!

God knew that. He knew we could do nothing because we are not Holy enough (no matter how hard we try) to justify and sanctify our sins.

That’s where Jesus comes in.

Eternal life He gave.

The ability of breaking the chains of sin, HE BLED FOR.

By His blood we can be made FREE!

Freedom from addiction.

Freedom from pride.

There are Christians out there that say if you accept Christ, your life will be easier.

They’re wrong and naive.

It’s hard, I can tell you that.

It’s going to be the biggest most wonderful decision anyone could make.

This is your life, are you who you want to be?

Taking Everything in Stride

I cut my finger. Ya, a stitches were required. It hurt.

The way I see it, I can take it two different ways.

One: I can be crabby. Mean. Upset. (Get the picture?) And I’m talking about more then normal… That’s pretty bad!

Two: I can take it stride. Ask the Lord what He wants me to get out of this upsetting situation. Ya, that seems easier then it is. Natural inclination is to complain like no end.

But, when I look at all my options and weigh them, I realize that complaining comes as a temporary relief. In the long run, when we are Thankful for what the Lord is putting us through and what He has given us, we have a happiness that cannot be bought.

It’s Been A While

I know it’s been a while since I last posted and I’m extremely sorry of my lack of focus. But, I’m glad you are still here and still wishing for a deeper relationship with Christ.

I’ll be posting more often and I pray you are continuing to read the Word and sing praises to the King of Kings.

From “the Early Years of Billy Graham” -motion picture

I have a friend, a dear friend, who told me Jesus was a man. Nothing but a man. Well He was a man, He was human. He was not a white man and he was not a black man. He came from that part of the world which touches Europe, and Africa and Asia. And He probably had a brown skin. And Christianity is not a white man’s religion. And you don’t let anybody tell you that it is white or black. So who is this strange man who marches His way across history? Who can explain Him? There’s never been anyone else like Him; my friends who is an atheist will tell you that. He only had a Ministry of three years. And yet two thousand years later millions upon millions on every continent bow down and worship Him.
Why? How is this possible?
Because He was made to redeem us. He went up on that cross to redeem us. And on that cross He touched the finger of God in one hand and in the other hand He reached out and He took your hand and in that moment on the cross He reconciled God and man. And I’m asking you tonight to commit your life to Him. It’s tough. It’s hard. And there are those who will mock you for it. But there is a joy and a satisfaction in living that kind of life. In following Him serenity that fills the emptiness in your heart. And once you have it you know where you are going and you know where you have come from. And you know what life is all about and you know why you are here. And you know where you are going when you die. Now I’m going to ask you to get out of your seat wherever you are and stand in front of this platform and say by coming I know that I a sinner. I want to receive God into my heart. I want my sins forgiven. I want to know that I am going to heaven. And I want a new life and I want it to begin right here and I want it to begin right now. And you know what? It can. I don’t care if you are a movie star or the biggest drunk walking the streets of Los Angeles, God is waiting for you. Right now. Come down. Come down and give your life to Christ.

You are everything I need to be.

You are everything that I want to be.

I lift my hands to you Jesus because I believe the truth about what you’ve stated.

The truth that you are the Messiah.

The truth that you are the son of God.

The truth that you will return for me one day.

The truth that you came unto the Lord not to judge but to bring peace.

The truth that you payed the atonement for my sins.

And with this truth in my heart, I praise you and give you my life.
